Did Austria really make the Tik Tak round lighter ?
On one page I included a pic of one of their lighters in my collection that exactly matches the one in the catalog. This booklet belongs on every collectors shelf. The pages also show how many lighters were copied by SAKURA outright despite patents by other manufacturers. | eBay! ... See more
Here are a batch of my round and rotary style lighters . I have never seen the baseball one with red stitching! Note the round Sunflower in top row far right . It has it’s original MIOJ base, often missing. The middle row has the Negbaur lighter and adjacent to it is a very unique albeit unmarked round lighter . Along the bottom row is a Baby Lighter , the smallest one I know of ? I added my clock for obvious reasons 😋. ... See more

Looked on eBay dam the price of camel zippos has gone up. Some are not even rare. Starting at.£30 maybe Its me. I see something as vintage 50 years old min a bit like me lol. I knew they would go up sooner or later because of the cigarette advertising thing. There are still plenty around. It does kind of all make it worth while when you see the price go up ... See more
Ohhhhhh I'm loving the Guinness zippos but I will wait 100s of different designs could be made. One complaint I wish Guinness had stayed with the old glass. The new slim glass is too small at the bottom easy to spill. Love the Guinness zippos I've seen and the maiden zippos with slash. ... See more
Have you ever wondered what will become of your zippo collection when your gone. I've spent half my life collecting. I'm wiser and have stopped impulse buying. I rarely come across an old lighter in good condition. Will my nephew just use them. I've explained all I can about value and condition. 20 years ago some were brand new not anymore as new but old date stamp. Does anyone want to swap a brushed chrome royal coat of arms zippo. I bought it hoping it might appeal to American collectors ... See more
Now there's a thought will niagra make a batch. You have probably already thought about this and have an answer. Well would they?
Something I have never seen a zippo made at niagra Canada. I would buy one a few one to use on a daily basis just to brag about lol. Remember these are non existent in the UK.
It makes me laugh when I see foreign zippo clubs having a batch made and trying to sell them on eBay for 3 times what they paid. They are not best pleased when I say I could do that. Tell me I'm confused a new lighter of a limited batch if it actually meant something to me like if I went to a swap meet. Collecting terms it doesn't mean a thing ... See more

I thought I had all of the trench art lighters I'd want to own until this one came along. Edith Cavell. Executed by firing squad in 1915 for helping 200 British soldiers escape a German POW camp in Belgium. Found guilty as a spy, she was killed. This is the only one I've seen. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Cavell ... See more

Transitional lighter inventions that account for new technology are interesting to me. When Welsbach invented ferrocerium sparking metal, lighters changed from caps and grinding wheels to new designs. The same thing happened when friction matches were invented and this is the case with this very early "lighter", dating to the late 1820's. ... See more
