I am a member of On The LIGHTER Side (OTLS), a lighter collectors' club founded in 1983 by Judith Sanders and John Cuevas. It has hundreds of members from countries worldwide. We provide  informative and entertaining bi-monthly newsletters featuring articles on lighters, manufacturers and all related matters. There are photographs of vintage lighters and a column on the latest Zippo news. Members can post free classified ads to sell or buy. If you prefer you may receive the newsletter on-line and view the lighters in color.

We host an annual lighter convention, where you can meet other collectors/dealers and talk about our mutual passion. You can bring lighters for display or sale and you can browse the tables to see and  buy lighters unknown to you. Bid at our auction and bring home undervalued treasures.

Our convention is held in June and alternates between Las Vegas and a different city each other year. For example, in 2011 our convention was in Nashville. In 2009 Cleveland was the site and in 2007 we were in Washington DC.
